That looks like fun! I have never taken my kids to the zoo, there is one in Canada, but since Gi Jye isn't a citizen yet, I am not sure if we could get past the border! RE:my blog Congee is really easy, it works well with leftover rice or just adding 1/3 rice to 2/3 water depending on how thick you want your congee. I have a rice cooker, so I am not sure how it works in a pan, probably the same except it might be harder to just let it cook on it's own on the stove. With cooked rice you cover the rice with water about an inch above the rice cook it until it's the consistency you like, and sometimes we beat in an egg to the hot congee. YOu can also add any type of meat to the congee while it's cooking,or vegetables. I like to eat my congee with a beaten egg at the end (stir it into the hot congee) and fish sauce, I top it with green onions, it's really good! And like I said Super easy! Poor Chinese people feed this to their babies so when you see really chunky Chinese babies, most likely they have been fed alot of congee witch of course if full of carbs!
This Blog is the chronicle of our family's journey through the process of adopting Mia-Faith XinHe and Elijah Russell AiSheng, and any other Waala family news.
We brought our Mia home July, 2006 from Fuzhou, China. She was 21 months old at Gotcha day. Eli joined our family at 6 years old in March 2009 from Wuhan, China. We are now complete- Our family has been blessed beyond measure !!
