Weekend in New Orleans

I had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans with my sister. She had asked me to go and attend V-Day. It was the tenth anniversary of the Vag*ina Monologues. I had heard of it but did not read the book or see the play. It was an event that was meant to empower women and address world-wide violence against women. It was a very interesting event. Faith Hill, Jane Fonda and a bunch of other actresses were there to talk and perform. What was even more interesting was the culture and folks in New Orleans. What an amazing place. We ate great food and listened to some amazing Jazz. I loved the history behind the city, loved taking a horse drawn tour and the New Orleans hospitality !

Awesome! That is one of my favorite cities that we've been to. Glad you had a good time. Send some of that warmth up North.
