Hoping for progress ....

Without going into much detail we are working really hard on getting our approval and our 171 from the USCIS. We are in the first batch of families that have to file using an I800 application. There seems to be alot of confusion about the Hague requirements. Our homestudy agency, Adoption Services, has been wonderful and has literally rewritten and sent requested documents the same day. Our social worker even came in on her day off to sign things for us... I plan on calling USCIS Tuesday to follow up. I pray things get where they should, and the USCIS case worker promptly processes our file. Our adoption agency, Adoption Advocates, has sent the rest of our dossier off to Chicago for certification. My goal and hope is that we are DTC (dossier to china) by August 12th. That is the day China said they wanted our dossier- it is also the day Dave and I were married 19 years ago....
