What is a blog?

Well I have noticed that a lot of people are doing this blog thing.......I hope that now that I set this up there is a way to figure out how I got here. I will have to scope this out but I am hoping there is a way to add pictues and maybe I can use this while traveling. Be patient with me while I figure it out.
